Summer: The Pier is a place where trailered boats can be launched and the launch vehicle with the trailer stored for the day.  Active storage for trailered boats on the Pier is available for residents and non-residents. Summer storage for trailers of boats on moorings is available at the Transfer Station.
 
Winter: Storage on Granite Pier is available for boats on Jack stands and trailers.  Additional storage for trailered boats only is available at the Transfer Station.
 
All year: Lobster and Fishing gear is stored on the Pier.

The purpose of Granite Pier is to provide a place where Rockport residents and non-residents can have a boating experience without paying the high cost of  marina or boat yard fees. It provides a ramp for for trailers to launch their boats for a day on the water and a parking place for their car and trailer on the upper level. For residents and non-residents, they can pay an annual fee for launching that is $25 and $50 respectively. A daily fee is also available for the occasional user. Summer and winter storage is also available on the Pier. 

 

People on the Pier cooperate with each other. Here a group of sail boat owners are sharing the cost of a crane to pull their masts. Another savings is pulling the jack stand boats on the same day to reduce the cost of John Oliver or Joslyn.
